High Commission hosted the World Governance Expedition-2017 from India at India House

High Commission of India hosted the World Governance Expedition-2017 from India at India House today.

The Expedition is a two week learning program in public policy and governance organized by Vision India Foundation. The Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative developed by alumni and faculty members of various highly regarded academic institutions in India, with a focus on guiding innovation in policy making and governance in India. This is a two week experiential learning program aimed at understanding how large scale governance is managed in other countries, taking the learnings back to help with innovation in India. Large scale transformational initiatives are currently being undertaken across many of the major cities in India, with infrastructure in India being a key focus for investment, development and governance.

High Commissioner Mr. Y. K. Sinha gave an overview of India-UK relations to the delegates and encouraged them to optimally utilise their upcoming meetings and visits to explore potential complementarities between the two countries in Government of India's flagship developmental initiatives. Minister Coordination, Mr. A.S. Rajan spoke to the delegation about the Mission's initiatives in actively engaging with the 1.5 million strong Indian community in the UK.
